Around 3 PM every fall afternoon, the same thing happens in glass offices across Toronto. The sun drops low, slides under the blinds, and lands directly on someone's monitor.

Closing the blinds solves glare by deleting the daylight. Then the lights go on, the energy bill climbs, and the window office you pay for becomes a basement with a view.

Just got your car tinted and now you see tiny bubbles? Before you panic at 10 PM: those are usually the curing moisture, and they are supposed to be there while the film sets. They clear on their own, slower in cold Toronto weather.

The ones to worry about are dirt bubbles, big air pockets and lifting edges. And whatever you do, do not take a pin to them.

Office glass, bathroom windows, front sidelights: frosted film turns clear glass into private glass without losing the light.

$7 to $10 per square foot installed, dozens of patterns from full frost to clear bands, and a plotter cut edge that still looks factory perfect years later. That last part depends entirely on who holds the squeegee. Window film is all we do, so we kind of obsess over the edges.

Skylights are the best and worst window in your house. Gorgeous light in November, cold air dumping into the room in January, and an oven aimed at your sofa in July.

Window film fixes the parts of a skylight that glass causes: heat, glare, UV fading. The honest part: we never film plastic dome skylights, and film will not fix a leaking one. We check first, every time.

That panoramic sunroof on your SUV or EV? It turns the roof of your car into a solar panel aimed at your head.

Ceramic film cuts the heat, kills the low-angle fall and winter glare, and stops the headliner and seats from fading from the top down. The catch is the glass: many roof panes are tempered and need the right film or you risk stressing the pane. That part matters.
