Not always do we have to add a 3rd storey and extend the footprint (although we love to do it). Sometimes, we will just work within the existing structure.
This cozy home received a new front facade, and a slew of upgrades inside to transform it into a welcoming city home.

In the mood for a little Parisian flare?
The "Whitehouse" is well known in the area for it's unique look.
With this renovation we wanted to bring something a little different to the neighbourhood. A lot of talk about New York "brownstones" at the time, as they naturally fit the inner city space. We thought we would take it a different direction and look for inspiration from a European city.

Can't get enough of Toronto's iconic Bay and Gable architecture.
Red brick and yellow coining = classic elegance 👑

We're not always given the chance to bring back the original look. All too often the older downtown homes have been too cannibalized over time, but this one was a great opportunity to refresh this old beauty. Thoroughly enjoyed this project.

Open concept is a popular design approach in home remodels, especially with the narrow footprint that is common in downtown Toronto.
However, it is also nice to hold a little back when you come in the front door, before you move into the main space, to surprise the senses and create an impact.

From concept to completion, this is one of TDB's favourite builds.
Taking inspiration from a New York style townhome, we incorporated Indiana limestone with red brick, and black trim.
Don't you just love the contrasting textures and colours?
