Known for its pioneering use of plastics, Kartell continues to push boundaries through transparency, colour, and form. This year’s presentation felt fluid and dynamic. Objects shifting between furniture and art, surfaces catching and reflecting light in unexpected ways.

What makes the experience immersive is the emotional quality of the material. Light passes through, refracts, softens. Creating environments that feel vibrant yet light, expressive yet accessible.

At Salone del Mobile, Kartell’s installation demonstrates how innovation can be both playful and precise. Where material becomes the medium for immersive experience.

As wellness architects, we’re drawn to this balance. It’s a reminder that innovation isn’t only about newness. It’s about how materials shape perception, mood, and interaction.

At Kartell, immersion lives in colour, light, and the unexpected joy of design.

At Salone del Mobile, Caccaro invites you into a world where furniture doesn’t define space — it becomes it.

Through their “No-Wall House” concept, boundaries dissolve. Storage systems transform into structure, guiding movement, framing views, and shaping how space is experienced. Walls disappear, replaced by a fluid sequence of environments that evolve with how we live.

As wellness architects, this approach resonates deeply. It reinforces the idea that flexibility, flow, and adaptability are essential to how spaces support daily life and wellbeing.

At Caccaro, immersion isn’t about spectacle. It’s about redefining how we inhabit space.

At Salone del Mobile, Moooi celebrated 25 years not with a retrospective, but with an immersive world of its own making.

Stepping into the installation felt like entering a layered narrative, where lighting, textiles, objects, and storytelling converge into a fully realized atmosphere. Familiar pieces were recontextualized, new works introduced, and everything was experienced not in isolation, but as part of a living environment.

What makes Moooi’s approach so compelling is its ability to evoke emotion. Bold, unexpected, and deeply expressive, the experience blurs the line between design and imagination — inviting you to feel as much as you see.

As wellness architects, this kind of immersion reminds us that environments shape perception. That storytelling, texture, and light can transform how we move through space and how we connect to it.

25 years in, Moooi continues to show that design isn’t just created... it’s experienced.

At EuroCucina 2026, the kitchen becomes more than a functional space. It becomes an immersive environment.

At Salone del Mobile, we experienced kitchens not as rooms, but as living systems. Materials, technology, and form come together to shape how we gather, cook, connect, and slow down. Boundaries soften. The kitchen extends into living spaces, into social spaces — into everyday life.

What stood out was the sensory experience:
the tactility of surfaces, the warmth of integrated lighting, the quiet precision of concealed systems. Every detail designed not just for performance, but for feeling.

As wellness architects, this evolution is significant. The kitchen has always been the heart of the home. Now it’s becoming a space of restoration, connection, and ritual. A place where design supports both function and wellbeing.

At EuroCucina, immersion is found in the everyday... elevated.

Alcova is where discovery happens in real time.

Wandering through its layered spaces, you’re constantly shifting between past and future. Thie historic structures meeting experimental materials, emerging designers positioned alongside established voices. Nothing feels overly curated. Everything feels found.

It’s this sense of unpredictability that defines the experience. You turn a corner and encounter something unexpected. A new material, a new process, a new way of thinking about space.

As wellness architects, we value this kind of exploration. It challenges us to stay open, to question assumptions, and to see how innovation can emerge from contrast — from tension between old and new, raw and refined.

Alcova reminds us that immersion isn’t just about being surrounded by design.
It’s about being open to what you discover within it.

At Alcova, immersion isn’t created — it’s uncovered.

Set within raw, often forgotten spaces, Alcova invites design to exist in dialogue with its surroundings. Historic textures, unfinished surfaces, and natural light become part of the experience, blurring the line between installation and environment.

What makes it powerful is not just what is shown, but how it is felt. Materials, objects, and ideas are experienced in context — layered, tactile, and immediate.

As wellness architects, this kind of immersion is essential. It reminds us that design doesn’t live in isolation. It lives in atmosphere, in contrast, in the relationship between space and human perception.

At Alcova, you don’t just observe design — you move through it.

May's inspiRED is Immersion. We just got back from Milan Design Week! It is not something you simply attend. It’s something you experience.

Across the city, design reveals itself in layers: historic spaces transformed, materials pushed to new limits, light shaping emotion, and ideas unfolding at every scale. From intimate installations to expansive exhibitions, Milan becomes a living laboratory of creativity.

What stood out most wasn’t just the objects, but the environments — immersive, sensory, and deeply human. Spaces that invite you to pause, engage, and feel.

As wellness architects, this kind of immersion is essential. It reminds us that design is not only seen, but experienced through light, texture, sound, and movement.

Milan challenges us to look closer, think deeper, and bring that level of intention back into our work. Because the future of design isn’t just created...it’s felt.

Not every project is meant for a magazine cover. And maybe that’s the point.

For us working with Redwood, a shelter for women and children who experienced violence, this project a isn’t about recognition, it’s about responsibility.

It requires listening.
It requires humility.
It requires showing up where it matters most.

Because the real glamour of design…is the impact it has on people’s lives.

🎙 Designing Recovery with Red Studio launches April 9.
