Our clients wanted their basement to feel calm and peaceful. A place that carries the same gentle mood as the rest of their home, rather than feeling separate from it.
An open living and dining area flows into a quiet hallway, with the laundry wall placed neatly along the way. Warm wood tone flooring continues throughout, paired with soft walls, clean white doors, and recessed lighting to keep the whole lower level bright and easy to move through.
The laundry area is compact but practical, with side by side machines tucked beneath a wood countertop and upper cabinets for storage. Keeping the finishes simple and consistent lets this hardworking corner blend naturally into the home.
The bathroom continues that sense of calm through blue green tile with gentle variation from one piece to the next. Its soft tones bring to mind an open sky and the movement of blue water running over stone.
