Smart Installs is going national! Smart Installs is a custom integrator for security and automation products. We keep up to date with emerging technology and ensure our clients get the right solution for their needs.
We are currently looking for full-time installers and project managers. Applicant should be energetic, resourceful and have a knack for technology (hence the MacGyver salutation). Experience is definitely valued and on the job training can be provided. However self study is highly recommended to keep up with the changing industry.
Here are some of the nitty gritty work details:
* Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect security and related products and equipment at client sites
* Interpret blueprints, diagrams and technical manuals as necessary.
* Update plans of any changes and additional details such as device numbering.
* Perform installation and termination of network/communication cabling.
* Communicating with clients on job progress and ensuring client satisfaction
* Ability to effectively use test equipment, hand and power tools.
* Must have own basic hand tools and powered drill set.
* Availability to work variable hours, weekends and/or "on-call" shifts as necessary to meet customer requirements.(though most project fall during the weekday)
* Possess valid driver's license and maintain acceptable driving record.
* Vehicle is required. Km reimbursement provided.
* OHSA safety training, Working at Heights Training and WHIMIS certificate is required. Elevated platform certification is a plus but can be obtained after being hired.
* Ability to travel safely to other provinces.
