Remember when laying out a slab meant tape, measurements, and marking everything by hand?

With 12K scanning technology, we can bring the slab into the system, create a cut preview, and show exactly how each piece will be laid out before production begins.

It’s a much more precise way to plan a cut, and it lets us see how everything fits together before the machine gets to work.

A client once asked us to get a 13-foot island up eight flights of stairs because she didn’t want a seam.

The elevator was too small, and there was no way to crane it in. So, a seam it was.

Definitely one of the more memorable requests we’ve had.

A lot of the work starts before anything gets cut.

Before a slab goes into production, we scan it and create a cut preview so we can see exactly how the pieces will be laid out on the stone.

Then the rest of the process can start with a clear idea of where everything is going.

Machine number three at Apex.

With our Sasso K-Lux, we can hone, polish, brush, or leather a slab right here in house.

So if a project calls for a honed island and polished countertops, or different finishes throughout, we can handle it all without sending the stone somewhere else to be finished.

It’s one of those capabilities that gives us a lot more flexibility when it comes to custom stonework.
