The design strategy for University College Revitalization neither mimics nor rejects the history it’s host, but plays off its eclectic materials palate, celebrating the college by bringing it into the present, while preparing it for the future.

The project dismantles the buildings legacy of physical barriers by celebrating the architectural insertions that achieve it.

The kitchen at Tile House unconventionally sits in the lower level of the house, with a double height space connecting the kitchen to the main floor living room. This is done to increase visual and physical connection to the beautiful tree lined back yard.
