I know the weather has been nice lately but as fall does start to creep in you need to make sure you prepare the outside of your house for those cold winter months!
This means shutting off the outside water to hoses and your irrigation lines.
Once this is done they need to be drained and blown out to ensure that no water remains! Doing this will make sure there are no cracked or burst pipes come spring!

Chances are that one of the factors affecting it could be your toilet! A running toilet is when there is constantly water flowing through it, not just when you flush it. This means that water is constantly being used. An easy way to fix this is by replacing the flapper and ballcock! It will only cost you $30 in parts and you can pick them up at any local hardware store.
