Townhouses are single-family dwellings that have at least two floors and share a wall with another house. A freehold townhouse is also commonly referred to as a rowhouse. A freehold townhouse provides owners much greater autonomy since when you own a freehold townhouse you own your whole house and the land it sits on. Homes that have a townhouse style usually come with a front and rear yard, giving plenty of private outdoor space.

1. Are you in ?
2. Will you be hiring on this project ?
3. Are you familiar with and how many have you obtained in this area?
4. What is a for this project?
5. How many projects are you currently working on?
6. Who will ?
7. What happens if you find something ?
8. What is the payment schedule?
9. Do you provide detailed & how will we communicate throughout the process?

How to stay on during or ?

People usually tend to make plans first then find a general .
From our , I can tell you that this approach commonly leads to budget failures. The first piece of I would offer would be to do the exact opposite - choose a general contractor before beginning the , and involve them in the process. This will help you costs from the first conceptual , and during all the stages of the design.

Choosing a should be based on their and , and not on who comes back with the lowest price once the plans are completed. Pick the contractor based on their quotation, services and quality of work. Bring them into the design phase at the beginning rather than waiting until it is done.

Also, unlike a designer, a contractor mandated to ensure compliance with your budget bears a real when they deliver , because they will be required to build to completion based on those prices. This is not the case with a designer, whose fees you will have to pay even if the design cannot feasibly be completed within your allotted budget.

One question i am asked often, when working on the interior details, is “can we mix finishes?” And if you know us, you’d know were not big on following rules. Mixing finishes should be subtle but contrasting enough to add depth, texture and emotion within your design!
