‼️🥚Keep your eggshells🥚‼️

⬇️Here is why⬇️

🌱Mix them to your soil when repotting your plants. By doing so, you will be adding calcium to the soil which will strengthen the plants cell walls🌱

Before doing so, make sure to

🌱🥚Rinse them off
🌱🥚Let them dry
🌱🥚Crush them

Palms look lovely in a room

But have you ever experienced the sadness when they start to become brown?
The reason behind those brown tips is lack of 💧HUMIDITY💧

Good news! There are ways to add humidity to your space!

💧HUMIDIFIER!!
Get yourself a good humidifier and place it near your plant. This goes for any tropical plant you have! This will save you time, money and questions on how you can do better.

💧PEBBLE TRAYS
While they only increase humidity levels by 1%, they don’t really do the trick for a big plant. Simply put a tray of rocks and fill with water so it evaporates in the air and add a small amount of humidity.

🚫💧MISTING
If your plant is always indoors, do not mist your plant to add humidity. If you do, make sure you place it outside on a warm (+10°C) and windy day. Give it a few mists every hour. The reason behind that is if water sits on the leaves it can lead to leaf rotting. I place a fan on the plant if it’s too cold to create wind.

🌱Time to bring your plants inside🌱

I got this Norfolk Island pine last year for our Christmas tree, left it outside for the summer and here we are with a bunch of new growth for the holidays ❤️

To bring it back inside, I let it soak for about 20 mins in lukewarm water and soft soap. This method helps to prevent bugs making their way into your cozy home.

Have any concerns about your plants? Send me a message, I’ll be happy to help ❤️

Schlumbergera truncata • Christmas cactus

When this cactus blooms, it’s just a reminder that my favourite time of the year is comming!!

So happy that it flowered this year considering I watered it maybe once every 2 months and fertilized it once this summer

There are no excuses why you shouldn’t get one! They are so easy to take care of …. except if you are a serial killer by over watering your plants 👀

Aren’t the flowers just fascinating? I wish it could always bloom like all my other flowering plants🤪

❗️🌱New leaf alert🌱❗️

Monstera deliciosa•swiss cheese plant

As they are native to tropical environments, they evolved to create holes called leaf fenestration in their older foliage to let the wind/rain through without tearing it.
Due to their beauty, they are one of the most popular house plants we see today.

Rose Mallows~ Hibiscus Syriacus

I see them all over the city and couldn’t help myself to share some info about them

They love sun but a spot with some shade during the day will help them grow and not be burnt by the sunlight

When in bloom, if healthy, the bush will be covered in flowers and if you keep that flower and put it in soil. In the sun, give it water, you will have a beautiful new plant growing.

I haven’t been very active lately I’ve been focusing on getting my knowledge better to be able to answer all of your questions even better

Hope you’ve all been enjoying the end of the summer ❤️
