This in-person workshop with Coast Salish artist and weaver Angela George will focus on the theme of seniors and how related ideas can inform the vision for the future West End community hub. West End Seniors Network will share a story about supporting seniors in the West End. Participants will also share their own experiences of the West End. Then, we’ll help develop a vision for the future community hub by exploring stories submitted by the community.

This is the question at the core of a new international ideas competition launched by Urbanarium. The Mixing Middle calls for
innovative mixed-use designs intended to revitalize residential areas in four Metro Vancouver communities.

Margot will be presenting Concord Community Pop-Up Park, where she will examine how the need for park space is increasing in our growing urban centres. With built work, she will demonstrate how to utilize vacant land for cost-effective, quick-start projects to accommodate the immediate demand for open space.
