During both World Wars, Sikh soldiers made up just 2% of India’s population, yet over 20% of the British Indian Army.
They fought on frontlines from France and Italy to North Africa and Burma. Over 83,000 lost their lives and more than 109,000 were wounded.
Their courage and sacrifice remind us that remembrance spans nations, faiths, and generations.
