Two weeks ago, we had the pleasure of visiting and learning from some incredible firms across the city. A huge thank you to RSAAW, Scott & Scott Architects, Smallworks, and Perkins&Will for opening your doors, welcoming us in, and sharing your insights and experiences with our students.

We’re also very grateful for the amazing turnout! So many students came out to connect, ask questions, and learn more about the profession. It made for such an inspiring day!

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this year’s firm crawl such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🌟

This International Women’s Month, join us for a special lecture with Leslie Van Duzer, professor here at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA). In this talk, Professor Van Duzer will reflect on her career path and the evolving journey of navigating the architectural field as a woman.

Event Details
Date: Monday, March 16th
Time: 5-7 PM

Professor Van Duzer will highlight the diverse pathways available within and adjacent to the discipline, offering insight into how one might shift between different modes of working and leading. This conversation aims to provide students with a broader understanding of what a career in architecture can look like, and the confidence to imagine self-defined paths within the field.

We warmly invite all students to attend this inspiring and reflective conversation. Whether you are just beginning your studies or already considering your next professional steps, we hope this lecture will encourage you to envision a career shaped not only by the profession’s expectations, but by your own values, ambitions, and evolving sense of purpose.
