Pinchi on Tachie Bridge — Work Update

Our crews will be on site Saturday, October 17th to carry out significant work on the Pinchi on Tachie Bridge.

Please note the following during work hours:

Load restriction: Vehicles 5,500 kg or less

Possible delays: Wait times of up to 2 hours

Please be advised there is bridge work happening in the area. Our crews are doing some significant work on the Pinchi on Tachie Bridge located 26km west of Hwy 27/Tachie intersection, 1km east of Binche rd.

During construction there will be 3 days where the bridge will be load restricted to 5500kg or less. The tentative dates for these restrictions are Saturday October 17th, 24th and 31st. No vehicles greater then 5500kgs will be permitted to cross the bridge, alternate route will need to be used. These restrictions are only expected to last during work hours.

We will provide more updates as construction progresses.

🚧 Fort St. James road work notice: Paving crews will be working on Tachie intersection on Tuesday, September 29th & Thursday, October 1st. Expect delays, traffic control will be on site. Please slow down, follow posted signs and traffic-control directions, and allow extra travel time. Thanks for your patience while we complete this work.

Please be advised, there is a vehicle incident on Hwy 16 East of Vanderhoof near Sunny Slope Rd.. Crews are on site and it is single lane alternating traffic.

Good Morning!

With school being back in session, there are more children walking, biking, and riding buses each morning and afternoon. Please slow down, stay alert in school zones and when approaching crosswalks, and give the school buses plenty of space.

🚨Remember: when a school bus has it's red lights flashing and stop arm out, traffic must stop. A few extra seconds can make all the difference in keeping our kids safe.

Lets all do our part to make every students trip to and from school a safe one.

Please be advised that paving is happening today at the highway 16/27 intersection. It is the final lift of asphalt for the new intersection project and there will be traffic delays.

Please use alternate routes if possible, otherwise expect delays.

We look forwarding to finish off this project and bringing infrastructure improvements to the area.

Please be advised that there is a lot of work happening in the area this week.

Please expect delays on near the highway 16/27 intersection for paving operations.

Please expect delays on between Carmen hill road and Vanderhoof for crack sealing

Please expect delays on near Cluculz Lake for spray patching

Watch for traffic control, give yourself extra time to get to your destination and do your part to help keep our roadside workers safe.

Please be aware of construction that will be happening in on the Burrard Bridge.

Work Dates: Starting July 13th for an estimate duration of 7 weeks.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday Potentially between 6am – 6pm.
Disruptions: Single Lane Alternating Traffic, Minor Delays for closures, potential temporary sidewalk implications.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved colleague Tyrell Weaver. Tyrell was an integral part of the YRB Vanderhoof family since 2015. We wish to pass along our deepest sympathies to Tyrell’s family, friends and colleagues as we all mourn his passing.
