FULL STORY OF DECORENZA'S CONSCIOUS COMPLETION
Decorenza's visionary, innovative offering served THE GREAT, NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY for over 14 years with a cumulative total of 47 builders in our portfolio. Those who joined my vision, making our success possible included; my supportive family; many talented team members over the years who showed up to work hard, work honestly and give of themselves to the service of providing an extraordinary experience ; builders who trusted in us to be an extension of their company; buyers grateful to receive the information they needed to make informed decisions; suppliers who took seriously their responsibility to provide what we needed to serve their clients; the BILD GTA association that provided the tools needed to CONNECT, LEARN AND GROW IN A CULTURE OF TOGETHERNESS and supportive BILD members who inevitably became dear friends.
As I look back at the many milestones and successes that fueled Decorenza's growth, I am HUMBLED, GRATEFUL AND FEEL DEEPLY PRIVILEGED to have had the opportunity to both serve and be served by this great industry and the extraordinary people in it. Decorenza played a transformational role in my life's journey for it is here, that I realized that each of could go beyond the tasks and deadlines and CHOOSE TO SEE THE SACREDNESS IN EVERYTHING THAT WE DO. I learned that WHAT WE DO IS NOT JUST A JOB OR A BUSINESS but rather A GREAT PRIVILEGE . Our industry COLLABORATES to build communities that provide SACRED SPACES FOR FAMILIES to call home and there is nothing more sacred than HOME. Literally or as a metaphor HOME is comfort, security and acceptance.
A sense of belonging and a sense that I was HOME was always present along my journey within THIS GREAT INDUSTRY OF NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION IN THE GTA. I experienced what it was like to be accepted for who I was and to be truly supported in GROWING TOGETHER FAR GREATER than the growth of just myself. It created a sacred space for me to OPEN MY HEART TO GIVE, RECEIVE AND BE SUPPORTED. Coming into this great industry over 14 years ago was my personal "coming home".
I will always consider this industry to be my home no matter where my next chapter leads me. I am immensely grateful to my family, my past & most recent teams, my clients, the BILD GTA Association staff and everyone in the building industry for the PRIVILEGE TO HAVE CO-CREATED SACRED SPACES WITH YOU for the new home buyers in the GTA.
What's Next? I am pausing, reflecting and creating the next version of my business. Although I do not know what is next for me, I am filled with excitement at the possibilities. What I know for sure is that THIS GREAT INDUSTRY WILL HAVE A PLACE IN IT, AS IT DOES FOREVER IN MY HEART.
