Site Superintendent Paolo Morano provides an update on the Thompson Anxiety Centre renovation at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Sunnybrook Hospital

Once complete, this space will help expand access to specialized treatment and support for individuals living with OCD and anxiety disorders, creating an environment designed to support recovery and care.

Project completion is expected Spring of 2027.

On July 22nd, the Chart team attended the Hamilton Health Sciences groundbreaking ceremony to mark the official start of the Emergency Department renovation project at Hamilton General Hospital. Hamilton Health Sciences

The event brought together healthcare leaders, community partners, project team members, and elected officials, including The Honourable Sylvia Jones , Ontario's Minister of Health, Tracey MacArthur, President and CEO of Hamilton Health Sciences, Neil Lumsden , MPP, and Monica Ciriello , MPP.

The renovation will transform the Emergency Department to better support patients, visitors, and frontline healthcare staff, with no disruption to ongoing patient care during construction.

Chart Construction is honoured to be included in the 39th Annual Urban Angel Golf Classic in support of Unity Health Toronto Foundation. Representing Chart Construction at this year's event were Jack Reid, Gillian Brunning, Josh O'Neil, and Jacquie Hymers.

It was a great day on the course supporting an event that brings people together for an incredible cause. This year's tournament raised an impressive $600,000 for patient care, bringing the event's lifetime fundraising total to $26 million.

Thank you to Unity Health Toronto Foundation for another great event.

The new 427 QEW KIA dealership is nearing completion as the team prepares for occupancy and a mid-June move-in.

Work is moving quickly through the final stages of the project, and we’re excited to see the dealership officially open soon.

Chart is proud to be part of projects that strengthen healthcare infrastructure.

The Emergency Department renovation at Hamilton General Hospital will enhance care delivery through a thoughtfully phased, multi-year transformation that will allow the department to remain fully operational while critical upgrades are completed.

This complex project will modernize approximately 22,000 sq. ft. of space across six phases, improving patient flow, expanding capacity, and supporting a higher standard of care for the community.

Projects like this highlight the importance of collaboration, precision, and planning in active healthcare environments, where construction must seamlessly integrate with ongoing clinical operations.

We’re honoured to partner with Hamilton Health Sciences on this important initiative and to play a role in delivering a facility that will positively impact patients, families, and staff.

We are proud to mark a significant milestone in the delivery of the Dialysis Care Unit renovation at Scarborough Health Network – Centenary Hospital in Toronto.

Delivered within an active healthcare environment, this project involves the renovation of 7,115 sq. ft. of existing space to create 21 new hemodialysis stations, dedicated segregation stations, and a specialized airborne isolation treatment room— enhancing both patient capacity and infection prevention measures.

Key project components included the installation of full exterior and interior hard hoarding, complete with negative air units and pressure monitoring systems to maintain strict environmental controls throughout construction. Critical tie-ins were successfully completed through carefully coordinated after-hours medical gas shutdowns (NO, O₂, Vacuum) within the Emergency Department, ensuring zero disruption to ongoing hospital operations.

This milestone reflects the strength of collaboration, precise planning, and disciplined ex*****on required to deliver complex healthcare infrastructure in a live environment. We are proud to contribute to a facility that will support enhanced patient care and long-term operational resilience.
