Pergola staining and interior painting at one of our favourite spots this summer - right on Kal Lake. 😎

We used a custom Sansin SDF colour on the pergola for a finish that’s as durable as it is beautiful. The grain of the wood coming through on a dark stain like this is hard to beat.

Our crews have been working hard on exteriors all summer, but we had to stop and share this one! 😎

This stucco home in Armstrong went from a faded beige to a bold navy - and honestly what a difference!

When done right, this kind of colour change can completely transform the street presence of a home.

Did you know, painting has been in our family since 1977? 😎

Brook’s grandfather started Nullmeyer Painting & Decorating. His dad carried on the trade with his own business. And now Brook runs Third Generation Painters here in Vernon, BC.

New kitchen cabinets loading… 👀

This kitchen is currently in the middle of a cabinet refinishing project, and today the doors are getting sprayed in our downtown Vernon cabinet shop.

It’s always fun seeing the transformation start to happen - especially when a dark wood finish starts turning into a bright new colour.

These will be installed back in the kitchen next week, so stay tuned for the final reveal! 😎

Thinking about getting your kitchen cabinets refinished but not totally sure what the process looks like? 👀

In this video, Brook walks through exactly how we approach our cabinet refinishing projects.

Here’s what’s involved:

👉 Cabinet doors are removed and brought back to our dedicated cabinet shop here in Vernon

👉 They’re cleaned, degreased and scuff sanded, then primed and sprayed with two coats of cabinet-grade paint for that smooth, factory-style finish

👉 Back in your home, we set up a contained spray area, carefully mask everything off, and spray the boxes and frames - with ventilation out a window to help reduce fumes

No brushes. No rollers. Just a proper sprayed finish 😎

If you’re looking to update your kitchen but keep your existing layout, refinishing can be a really practical option.
