☀️ Chill zones, good vibes, and a more resilient community. 🌱

It was a busy weekend for the Method Air crew!

On Friday we set up our Method Air Chill Zone misting station at the James Bay Community Centre annual picnic — helping everyone beat the heat and enjoy a beautiful afternoon together. We were also proud to support the silent auction with a donation of a 3-night stay at the Fairmont Château Whistler to help raise funds for our community.

Then on Sunday, we headed across the bridge for the Vic West Sustainable Home & Garden Tour, where we spent the day chatting with neighbours about energy efficiency, climate resilience, and the role heat pumps can play in preparing our homes for the future.

Heat pumps aren’t just about lowering energy bills — they’re about keeping homes comfortable through hotter summers, colder snaps, and our changing climate. 🌎

We started Method Air because we believe strong communities are built by people showing up. Whether it’s installing equipment, sharing knowledge, supporting local events, or just creating a shady spot to cool off — we’re grateful to be part of this neighbourhood.

You might notice a few new signs popping up around our local school zones. We’re putting them out as a simple reminder to give yourself a little extra time, take your foot off the gas, and keep an eye out for our smallest neighbours.

Out with the old, in with the cool 😎❄️

Today we’re disconnecting electric baseboard heaters and upgrading this home with high-efficiency ductless heat pumps — just in time for Victoria’s first real taste of summer ☀️

With temperatures pushing 28°C this weekend, these homeowners are saying goodbye to sweaty nights and hello to quiet, efficient cooling.

The best part? A heat pump isn’t just an air conditioner. It’s year-round comfort — efficient heating through our damp Island winters and crisp, cool bedrooms when summer shows up.

Around here, we believe anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Whether it’s building a heat pump system, making homemade chicken pho 🍲 or spending a ridiculous amount of time perfecting chili oil… the recipe is pretty much the same:

Use good ingredients.
Don’t cut corners.
Care about the finished product.

We’ve been lucky enough to do good work, eat good food, and make a whole bunch of friends along the way.
