🔎 3 questions to ask before you sign with a custom home builder in Greater Victoria:

1️⃣ Will the principal be on-site, or will you be handed off to a project manager after week one?
The builder who signs your contract should remain involved at every critical milestone. Ask who specifically will be walking your lot and signing off on structural decisions.

2️⃣ How will you see the budget in real time?
Bi-weekly reconciliations with line-by-line cost tracking are the standard of transparency you deserve; not a monthly call where surprises get explained after the fact.

3️⃣ Is the 2-5-10-year warranty backed by a third party?
A builder's verbal guarantee is not the same thing as a Traveler's 2-5-10 year home warranty. One transfers to the next owner and is independently enforced. The other doesn't.
