🌩️We have had a significant thunder and lightning storm track over the mid island this evening.
🔥We are asking folks to be on the look out over the next few days for new fire starts.
📞📱Call 911 if you see a distinct colum of smoke and try to be as specific as possible on the location. Having the right location to dispatchers will help narrow down the location of the fire.
📵Avoid being a cell phone hero doing 120kph down hwy 19 saying you see smoke between Parksville and Cumberland on the mountain side of the highway. Please stop, actually get a good location for dispatchers 😉
