Afterlight House | Details Before Handoff

It’s the stage of a build where every new detail makes a difference.

Fresh landscaping is beginning to frame the home, with curved garden beds softening the clean architectural lines and new grass on the way.

Around back, the newly poured staircase creates balanced access to the yard, while inside, the custom oak staircase brings warmth and continuity from the flooring into the rest of the home.

With the ensuite nearly complete and the laundry room awaiting its final appliances and doors, there’s not much left before this home is ready for its next chapter.

Tanner Ridge | Closing In on Completion

The project is moving quickly toward completion, with progress happening across nearly every area of the home.

The kitchen is almost complete with countertops coming next, while painting and final tile work continue. The Dreamcast concrete fireplace is wrapping up, featuring a dark tile inlay and clean trim.

In the theatre room, the trim and shiplap are complete and ready for a dark blue finish, with cabinetry close behind.

Upstairs, painting is largely complete, countertops and tile are in, leaving final coats of paint, plumbing fixtures, and finishing work to come.

Tanner Ridge has come a long way, and we’re looking forward to seeing the last pieces come together.

Tanner Ridge | The Final Layers

Progress continues throughout Tanner Ridge as the home moves into its final stages.

The kitchen is nearing completion, painting and tile work are wrapping up, and the Dreamcast concrete fireplace is taking shape with its dark tile inlay.

The theatre room is also coming together with finished trim and shiplap, cabinetry underway, and a dark blue finish still to come. Upstairs, the bedrooms and bathrooms are largely complete, with just a handful of final items remaining.

Swipe through for a look at where things stand as we get closer to handing over project.

Afterlight House | Exterior Landscaping. Interior Finishes

The finishing details are taking shape as this home moves closer to completion.

Outside, landscaping is underway with new garden beds, soft curves and fresh grass bringing the yard together, while a newly poured rear staircase creates symmetrical access from both sides of the property.

Inside, the oak staircase is complete with glass handrails coming next. The ensuite is down to its final glass installation, and the main-floor laundry is nearly finished with appliances and closet doors still to come.

A lot of the final pieces are falling into place, and we're excited to see this home nearing the finish line.

Grand + Fir | Finishing Details

The Grand + Fir is moving into its finishing stages, with Keith walking us through the latest progress across the project.

Inside, countertops, plumbing and lighting fixtures, and backsplashes are now installed, while barn doors and final painting continue throughout the units.

Homeowners can choose between two distinct interior schemes:

◾Grand: crisp white cabinetry complemented by a glossy white backsplash.

or

◾Fir: matte-finish backsplash paired with a warmer cabinet palette.

Outside, the StoCast brick veneer is complete, with deck pavers, cap flashing, concrete work, landscape preparation, and planter walls all moving forward.

With finishes coming together inside and out, Grand + Fir is getting closer to the final vision.

Grand + Fir | The Details Come Together

The focus at Grand + Fir has shifted from major construction to the details that will define the finished homes.

Throughout the interiors, countertops, plumbing and lighting fixtures, and backsplashes are in place, with barn doors being installed and final paint progressing.

Two interior palettes give homeowners a choice in how their space comes together. The Fir scheme pairs a matte backsplash with its own distinct cabinetry, while the Grand scheme takes a brighter approach with white cabinetry and a glossy white backsplash.

On the exterior, the StoCast brick veneer is complete as crews move ahead with deck pavers, cap flashing, front concrete work, planter walls, and landscape preparation.

A lot has changed across the project, and each new finish is bringing Grand + Fir another step closer to completion.

From the Ground Up

Tyler, Site Supervisor, walks us through the latest progress on site, where the footings have now been poured and the foundation is set to begin next week.

Beyond the structure itself, early work is already underway on some of the details that will shape the finished property, including a new rock pit rainwater management system and a completed boulder wall at the rear of the home.

Once complete, the home will feature a gym, golf simulator, media room and office on the lower level, alongside the main kitchen, living spaces and entry. Upstairs will house the bedrooms and additional bathrooms.

Before access becomes limited by construction, the team is also preparing the upper yard for a future sauna, fire pit and seating area.

Foundation next. Framing to follow. Plenty more to come as this one starts taking shape.

From Blueprint to Baseline

Progress is underway on one of our latest custom home builds, with the footings now poured and foundation work set to begin.

There’s already plenty happening beyond the footprint of the home. A boulder wall has been completed at the rear of the property, while a rock pit rainwater management system is being incorporated to collect roof runoff and gradually direct it into the municipal storm system.

Inside, the plans are just as exciting. The home will feature a gym, golf simulator, media room and office, alongside spacious kitchen, living and flex areas. Upstairs will bring together the bedrooms and additional bathrooms.

Work is also being completed on the upper portion of the property while access is still available, preparing the space for a future sauna, fire pit and outdoor seating area.

Next comes the foundation, backfill and framing, when this home will really begin to take shape.

A Century Old. Built for What’s Next.

There’s something special about giving a 100-year-old home its next chapter.

This addition and renovation goes well beyond creating more space. It’s an opportunity to thoughtfully modernize the property, upgrade its infrastructure, and bring key elements of the existing home up to today’s standards.

The new garage addition is framed and enclosed, with roofing nearing completion and exterior work underway. As part of the renovation, the existing siding will be upgraded and brought up to current code, while a new James Hardie exterior featuring board and batten, a defined belly band, and shakes will help tie the old and new together.

The property’s electrical infrastructure is being modernized as well, with the existing overhead electrical service relocated underground and a new panel installed within the garage.

Inside, the recently poured garage slab was laser leveled to create a precise, zero-threshold transition between the addition and existing home.

Upstairs, removing the wall between the original primary bedroom and walk-in closet has doubled the width of the room from 9 to 18 feet, dramatically changing the scale and functionality of the space.

A century of history remains at the foundation, now being carefully adapted for the next generation of this home.

Renovation | Addition + Refinement

Project Manager Adam walks us through the latest progress on this addition and renovation project, now a couple of months into construction.

The new garage addition is fully framed, with roofing nearly complete and exterior finishing underway. James Hardie siding will bring together board and batten on the lower portion, a defined belly band, and shakes above to give the addition a layered, timeless exterior.

Inside the garage, drywall is complete, a new electrical service has been installed, and the concrete slab was recently poured using laser leveling to create a seamless transition between the new addition and the existing home.

Upstairs, the renovation is creating a significant change to the primary suite. By removing the wall between the original 9-foot-wide bedroom and walk-in closet, the primary bedroom has been opened up to an impressive 18 feet in width.

New space, thoughtful transitions, and a design that brings the existing home and new addition together as one.
