Blind dado case construction. 🔨

We machine a stopped dado into the case sides and seat the adjoining panel fully into the groove, stopped short of the front edge so there’s no visible joint line on the finished face.

Why we build this way over butt-jointed, fastener-dependent boxes:
• Mechanical interlock that resists racking
• Far more long-grain glue surface for a rigid, permanent bond
• Self-squaring during assembly for consistent, repeatable case dimensions

Cut from 5/8” prefinished birch ply. This is standard on many of the boxes we build.

We outfitted this bright urban kitchen in our Slab White Smoke super matte PVC, a soft, velvety finish that keeps things clean and modern without ever feeling cold. Paired with the bold geometric tile backsplash and those incredible heritage rooftop views, the matte cabinetry lets the colour do the talking while quietly tying the whole space together.

This recently completed project with Coda Homes features custom kitchen cabinetry, laundry room cabinets, and closet cabinetry built with durability and longevity in mind.

Closets and pantry are finished in prefinished birch plywood, while the kitchen and laundry spaces combine matte white PVC cabinetry with Uniboard Cannes K15 textured melamine for a clean, modern look.

All cabinet interiors are prefinished birch plywood, delivering premium quality throughout this custom home.
