Every deck has a story.
This one served its family well for 28 years—a testament to the care that went into building it in the first place.
Like anything exposed to the elements year after year, there comes a time when replacement becomes the safest and smartest long-term investment.
After nearly three decades of serving this family, much of the original framing had simply reached the end of its service life. That gave us the opportunity to build a brand-new foundation for the next chapter.
From careful demolition, to a solid new base, fresh framing, and finally a brand-new deck, it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch this backyard come back to life one step at a time.
One thing I enjoy most about projects like this is seeing what’s hidden beneath the surface. The finished deck is what everyone notices, but it’s the structure underneath that determines how well it will perform for years to come. That’s why I believe in building it right from the ground up.
I love projects like this because they aren’t just about building a deck—they’re about creating a space where families can relax, barbecue, celebrate birthdays, and make memories together for years to come.
