I read a comment in the paper the other day. It was a competitor boasting about their shingles, saying how their shingle never blow off and have the best wind warranty around. I saw the exact same shingles laying all over the ground and flipped right over on the roof. That is just more proof that the shingle is only as good as the roofing company, and the company only as good as it's worst employee.

Did a little shingle repair today. The damage happened in feburary, they didn't notice till now. Just a reminder to inspect your roof for damage after high-winds.

If you had an Ice dam this year or any years prior, I would recommend getting your attic space inspected. Under-insulated attics will cause you attic to be warmer, causing snow to melt. When the water from the melting snow reaches your facsia, soffit over hang it re-freezes and stops the rest of the water from drainning off the roof. This water will find any way to drain.

I am really not impressed with the lack of quality in some companies workmanship, I have been too busy repairing others work to price much of my own, but when it leaks you need to fix it!
