Meet the Local Behind the Mission: Jason Farris 👋🏼
If you live on the North Shore, you know that our creeks and forests are what make this place home. For our founder, Jason Farris, that connection is personal.
A lifelong Vancouverite who grew up in Kerrisdale, Jason moved to West Vancouver to raise his children, Jane and Owen, with his wife Sarah. As a fellow resident and owner of a creekside property on Lawson Creek, Jason experienced firsthand the frustration of watching Ivy and other invasives choke out the native beauty of his backyard.
What started as hours of manual labor to restore his own property turned into a life-long mission. That passion for the outdoors—the same one that takes him skiing, snowshoeing, and playing hockey—led to the creation of Erase Invaders.
Today, Jason isn’t just a business owner; he’s a dedicated steward of our local ecosystem. He’s on a mission to see all 55 North Shore creeks eradicated of invasive plants.
Whether he’s in the creek or at the rink, Jason is committed to leaving the North Shore better than he found it. 🌿
