British Columbia is in a housing emergency. We need all hands on deck, yet the AIBC is using its power to wage a war of “title-policing” against skilled professionals. They are creating a caste system that devalues your experience and forces competent designers into the shadows while our province faces a housing shortage.

This is systemic professional discrimination, and it is stalling the homes BC families desperately need.

Courts handle the penalties, but only government can fix the laws. 🏛️⚖️
In my latest video, “Fight for Human Rights.mp4,” I break down our dual strategy to end a century-old monopoly in BC.

The reality: 1️⃣ The Judicial Path: Challenging unfair financial penalties in the Supreme Court. 2️⃣ The Political Path: Pressuring politicians to force the OSPG (the oversight body above the AIBC) to modernize the regulations.

Under the BC Building Code, independent Architectural Technologists have the right to design Part 9 housing. Yet the system hands out massive penalties just for marketing our legal work. This chokes housing supply and limits fair business!

Does the AIBC actually serve the public, or just architects? 🏛️👀
In my latest video, “Modernise Architect Regulation.mp4,” I call out BC housing laws for completely ignoring the existence of qualified Architectural Technologists and Building Designers.

The reality: 🏢 Part 3 Buildings (High-rises/hospitals) need architects. 🏡 Part 9 Buildings (Duplexes/multiplexes) do NOT—yet outdated laws erase independent designers anyway, choking our housing supply.

It’s time for David Eby and the BC Government to modernize the Architects Act. Include technologists or remove Part 9 from AIBC overreach!

Over 899,000 homes and new multiplexes across BC are designed by local, independent designers—NOT corporate architects. We do the heavy lifting to build this province.
Yet, a massive regulatory bottleneck is choking local small businesses and stalling the housing crisis.

When we brought a common-sense fix to Victoria, the response was a bureaucratic shrug: “Parliament is on vacation until October.” Meanwhile, the OSPG stays completely silent on this workplace abuse.

We’ve delivered a final ultimatum to the Ministry: Make this regulatory reform a top priority for October, or face a formal human rights complaint.

Is a workplace rights violation acceptable if it only targets one small business owner? 🏛️
I recently brought formal evidence of systemic regulatory bottlenecks to the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance (OSPG). Shockingly, their official stance is that because my case represents an “individual” matter, they will not take action.

A violation of fairness is against the law—period. It shouldn’t matter if it happens to one person or a hundred. By deflecting, the OSPG allows a protectionist culture to persist, creating an environment of fear where independent local designers are terrified to speak up.

If the BC government truly wants to cut red tape and accelerate Part 9 residential housing, they must hold their own regulatory bodies accountable.
