After a preliminary budget discussion, we begin to bring the luxury landscape dreams to life with on-site consultation, 2D renderings and client involvement. From there, we begin the final 3D renderings to take the approved concepts to reality, and there we start all of the planning and put together the technical details so everything is smoothly laid out when we begin construction!

One of the first things we consider when designing a front yard is not the plants or even the stonework. It's the home itself.

Every property already has an established colour palette created by the exterior finishes. The colour of the brick or siding, the roof, window frames, garage doors, trim, and front door all influence how the landscape should be designed. These architectural elements provide the foundation for every material, planting, and design decision that follows.

For example, a home with warm toned brick may be complemented by natural stone, softer greens, and plantings that enhance those warmer hues. A modern home with black windows and cooler exterior finishes may call for cleaner lines, contrasting textures, and a more contemporary planting palette. Even the colour of the front door can become an accent that is subtly reinforced throughout the landscape.

This is one of the reasons professional landscape design is never a 'one-size-fits-all approach'. The goal is not simply to create a beautiful front yard, but to create one that feels like it belongs with the home.
