What happened to July? I’m still sitting here typing away invoices from June.

Lots going on behind the scenes at Maple Leaf — and when I say lots, imagine your worst day at the office… except somehow, it’s still always a good day. 😂

We’re Hiring: Part-Time Concrete Finisher

Maple Leaf Outdoor Services is looking to add 1 experienced concrete finisher to our team for the August and September season.

This is a very part-time position, ideal for someone looking to pick up one or two days of work each week.

What you’ll be working on:

• Small concrete walkways

• Garden bed concrete curbing/edging

• Residential concrete repairs and installations

• Other decorative concrete projects

Schedule:

• Approximately 1–2 days per week

• Most work will take place on Monday, Tuesday or Saturday & Sunday.

• Work days will be discussed in advance based on project scheduling and availability.

Pay:
Compensation is paid by the day and will be discussed before each project. We offer competitive day rates based on experience and the scope of the work.

Requirements:

• Previous concrete finishing experience is required.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

• Reliable transportation is preferred.

Matching garden beds for two sisters? Challenge accepted. 🖤

🍁 Sneak Peek! 🍁

We’ve been hard at work in the motherland (Forest Glade) this past week, transforming this property from the ground up!

This project included the complete removal of a large raised garden bed, land leveling, and the installation of brand-new garden beds in both the front and backyard. The front landscape features a technical three-tier planting design, carefully selected to complement the beautiful Forest Glade surroundings and create year-round visual interest.

We’re back today for the finishing touches — planting, selective tarp installation, and fresh mulch to tie everything together.

We’re excited to show you the final result soon, but for now, here’s a little sneak peek of what’s been keeping us busy! 👀

A major makeover for these two mature yew bushes! 🌿✂️

While they may look a little bare right now, yews are incredibly resilient and respond very well to rejuvenation pruning. With a little time and care, they’ll fill back in beautifully. We’ll be posting update photos throughout the season so you can follow their progress!
