Neon Factory

Neon Factory The Neon Factory Established in 1986. Museum/Neon Studio/Shop. We do restorations of vintage neon signs, custom work and repairs .

The Neon Factory has had quite the history here in Winnipeg. Originally located right by the classic Blue Note Cafe on main Strret (near the Forks). Then in the Exchange District on Princess Street where it thrived! As the Exchange developed the Neon Factory decided to move to a new loction where the Neon Factory could once again make a difference. It moved back to Main Street right between Logan

and Alexander to join an assortment of other businesses and artists to rebuild the rundown area into an amazing artists village. You will notice by the photos how our current location is an ever growing project. It started with purchasing our own building for once and for all and continued with endless renovations. Reno's started with installing a glass garage door so that the community and passers by could forever enjoy and remember neon and our city's past through signage. Then it fire balled from there with lots of hard labor, paint, and determination to become what now stands today. As it is still a work in progress I will continue to even post more photos on what is new and awesome here at the Neon Factory.

Since 1986, the Neon Factory has served triple duty: it makes new signs, restores old ones and preserves treasures of Winnipeg’s past. This spirit of preservation is on full display in the North End home of its founder Mike Wolchock and photographer Allison Slessor.
