Today, on Red Dress Day, ServcoCanada recognizes the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

At our head office, a red dress display has been set up as a visual reminder of the countless lives lost and the ongoing impact felt by families, communities, and Indigenous Peoples across Canada. Each dress represents a woman, girl, or Two-Spirit person who is missing or has been taken too soon.

ServcoCanada believes in standing alongside Indigenous communities, listening, and continuing to learn. We remain committed to supporting awareness, education, and meaningful action.

Last month, ServcoCanada Project Manager, Vanessa Miller, was a trade mentor at the Young Women’s Conference in Regina. Hosted by SaskPolytech WITT and Skills Canada Provincial Competitions, almost 70 Grade 8 girls attended.

The day was filled with hands-on learning, including welding workshops led by Vanessa and other trade mentors, where participants created their own take-home projects—like this turtle.

Proud to support initiatives that introduce young women to opportunities in the skilled trades. 👏
