As autumn settles in and the days grow shorter, we're taking a moment to pause and reflect. Ditchfield Landscape & Hardscape Supplies will be closed on Wednesday, September 30th, in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

It's a day set aside to acknowledge history, honor survivors, and reflect on the path toward healing. We'll be spending it quietly with our team and community.

We'll be back and ready to help with all your landscaping and hardscape needs starting Thursday, October 1st, open our regular hours from 8am to 5pm.

Thank you for your understanding, and we'll see you soon. 🧡

Planning to repair or rebuild your lawn this fall? Winnipeg’s growing window is getting shorter. 🌱

New grass seed needs several weeks of suitable soil temperatures to germinate and begin establishing before winter. That makes September one of your final opportunities to prepare the area, add the right soil and get seed into the ground.
If you’re starting from scratch, don’t leave it too late.

📞 Call Ditchfield Supplies at 204-889-6268 to order your soil.

Think you missed the window for a new lawn? Synthetic turf gives you another option.

There’s no seed-germination window to race against, no leaves buried in new grass and no waiting until spring for a finished appearance.

The important part is proper installation. Drainage, base preparation, seams and edging all matter especially through Winnipeg’s freeze thaw cycles.

Looking for landscape edging near you but not sure what your project actually needs? 🌿

The right edging should do more than create a clean line. In Winnipeg, it also needs to handle clay soil and repeated freeze thaw movement.

Before ordering:

✅ Choose edging suited to the job
✅ Measure the complete linear footage, including curves
✅ Use the material calculator for stone or base material
✅ Call ahead to confirm current profiles and quantities

Ditchfield carries landscape edging and supporting project materials, including woven fabric, polymeric sand, adhesives, sealers, decorative stone and crushed limestone for base preparation.

Pick up your order at 2929 Sturgeon Road or ask about delivery throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

This is what happens when good materials meet good hands. 🔥

We are excited to share this one in collaboration with because this riverfront project deserves to be seen. 👏

Papa Bear and Sons handled this one from the ground up. Literally. The lawn, the soil work, the hardscape throughout including the firepit pad, the connecting pathways and the steps leading down from the house to the river. Every element of this property was touched by their crew and the results speak for themselves.

The hardscape throughout is Mega-Libre in Victorian and we always recommend Belgard when customers ask us what to put their money into. The quality is there. The variety is there. And when it is installed by a crew that knows what they are doing, the end result is exactly what you see here. This project is a great example of why we stand behind Belgard as a product. 🙌

We supplied the Belgard materials and the soil. Papa Bear and Sons brought the vision and the workmanship. That is a combination we are proud to be part of.

Swipe through the full carousel to get the real picture. The drone shots reveal just how much ground this project covers and how it all connects from the house right down to the river. 👉
