On this episode of “what can we do in 6 hours because we’re bored...” we decided to create a vertical wooden slat accent wall and repaint of the fireplace.
This allowed us to bring focus to the height of our living room and bring warmth and added an organic touch to the room.
We got started with this pretty late in the evening, after packing away our Christmas tree and holiday decor.
After a quick run to , We got this project completed in under $120, using 1x2x8 pine lumber, a can of stain and the left over paint from the girls’ overnight bedroom makeover we completed a couple days ago.
I’m not much of a painter so I let the wife and Lexi take care of that while I watched, I mean waited for the stain to dry.
Using cordless Brad nailer made easy work of the install.
