Recently recognized by Senator Don Plett during the Senator of Canada sitting, Dan’s recent election as President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) is a remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication and leadership.

Dan’s nearly 30-year career in roofing began right here in Manitoba. As a former President of our association, he has been instrumental in promoting the benefits and opportunities available to tradespeople. His efforts to grow the CRCA and its impact on the industry are truly commendable.

With a significant number of skilled tradespeople set to retire by 2028, Dan’s work in advocating for the Red Seal Roofer endorsement and supporting the next generation is crucial. His leadership continues to drive the growth and success of the roofing industry in Canada.

Day Five: Employee Training 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️
Our #1 priority every day is to ensure every person makes it home safe. Almost every morning, there is training happening at our office or on-site. Our safety advisor is always on top of it and ensuring nobody is on a roof without proper fall protection, PPE, secured ladders, you name it! 🦺
Here we have one of our Foreman wearing his proper PPE installing Flashing and next is from a couple weeks ago when we did in-office First Aid Training.

It's National Roofing Week!
Kickstarting with our signature project - Keeyask Hydro Generating Station
In 2022, Oakwood won the Roofing Canada Award for Keeyask.
Located in Northern Manitoba, The Keeyask Hydro Dam is Manitoba's 4th largest generating station producing an average of 4,400 Gigawatt hours of electricity each year!
