A proud moment for Gary Cullen, K-Line Construction and the telecom trade in New Brunswick.

As the province’s first certified Telecom Lineman, Gary has reached an incredible milestone. We’re proud to have helped pave the way for this achievement and create a path for others to follow.

A BIG MILESTONE FOR THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRY IN NEW BRUNSWICK!

When K-Line’s Gary Cullen volunteered to pilot New Brunswick’s new practical test for Telecommunication Line Technicians, he brought more than 50 years of experience.

His reason was simple: do his part for the industry and the younger linemen coming behind him.

That’s what this work has always been about.

Years ago, K-Line helped start the push to have this trade officially recognized in New Brunswick. On September 4, 2024, it happened. On September 24, 2026, we hosted the practical testing pilot at our Hanwell training yard. Another hard-earned step toward experienced technicians earning their Certificate of Qualification and becoming certified journeypersons.

Many people put years into getting here. Thank you to Skilled Trades NB, the program advisory committee, our industry partners and especially Gary.

For the people who built this trade, and those who will carry it forward, this one means a lot.

A major investment in Canada’s defence infrastructure is moving forward right here in New Brunswick, and K-Line Construction Limited is proud to be part of it. 🇨🇦

K-Line has been awarded the Phase 1 construction contract for the Gagetown Range and Training Area Recapitalization Project at 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown.

Our work will help DND to get ready to renew aging roads, modernize training infrastructure, replace essential facilities at Camp Petersville and prepare designs for two bridge replacements and new firebreak roads.

This second phase is expected to support approximately 100 jobs in the region, creating meaningful opportunities for local workers and businesses while helping provide Canadian Armed Forces members with the modern, resilient infrastructure they need to train and serve effectively.

Behind the Scenes at K-Line Construction 🔧

A lot happens behind the scenes to keep our crews moving and our projects on track.

Our fleet works hard every day, and that means there’s another team working just as hard to keep it running.

From routine maintenance and inspections to troubleshooting, repairs, and getting equipment back into service, our mechanics and shop technicians play a critical role in everything we do.

Their work might not always happen on the jobsite, but its impact is felt on every jobsite.

We’re incredibly thankful for the skill, dedication, and pride our shop team brings to work every day. Because when the equipment is ready, our people can be ready too.
