✨ Architecture as art. Art as architecture.

This striking museum design by Studio Ana D’Apuzzo plays with radical contrast: one side a raw, charred, almost geological surface that feels scarred by time and fire… the other a pure, minimalist white volume of perfect restraint.
Separating them? A single vertical slash of electric pink light that cuts through the facade like a neon wound or a glowing threshold.
The result is magnetic — destruction and renewal, chaos and calm, history and the future held in one powerful gesture. A building that doesn’t just house art… it is the artwork.

Would you step inside?

"Architecture You Can Wear
Ana D’Apuzzo Collezioni and the New Language of Cybernetic Couture

In a world of fleeting trends, Ana D’Apuzzo builds permanence. Her garments do not merely clothe the body—they construct it, frame it, and illuminate it from within. The latest pieces from Ana D’Apuzzo Collezioni arrive like living architecture: white sculptural silhouettes that open to reveal glowing mechanical hearts of gold wire, translucent blue orbs, and intricate circuits of silver and brass. One gown parts at the torso to expose a luminous engine of interlocking rings and filaments; another wraps a dark-skinned figure in cascading ivory volumes threaded with golden neural pathways; a third transforms the face itself into a portrait of human and machine, blue eyes framed by cascading metallic tendrils. These are not dresses. They are wearable cathedrals of the future.

Ana D’Apuzzo is, first and foremost, an architect. Born in Serbia in 1978 and based since 2011 in the luminous lakeside town of Ascona, Switzerland, she holds a master’s degree in contemporary architecture and has studied philosophy of design at Harvard and MoMA. Painting, digital art, and fashion are not separate practices for her—they are dialects of the same language. “I design a building the way I compose a garment—with structure, rhythm, and emotion,” she has said. “This gown? It’s architecture you can wear. Every hanging strand is a column, every color a material shift, every movement a new spatial experience.”

Ana D’Apuzzo Collezioni was born from that conviction. Beginning with experiments in 3D body scanning and architectural modeling more than a decade ago, the line translates her paintings and digital explorations into limited-edition, hand-crafted garments. Patterns originate directly from her canvases. Silk is printed with her own imagery, then cut and sewn by hand in small numbers. The result is art-to-wear in the truest sense: refined yet radical, rooted in craft yet charged with technology. Recent collections—Kagami, Dragon Lady, Verzasca—have already shown her gift for merging Japanese refinement, European elegance, and experimental form. The new body of work pushes further still, into a realm of cybernetic elegance where the boundary between body, machine, and sculpture dissolves.

Look closely at the central piece: a white coat-dress of architectural volume, its front opened like a living organ to reveal a glowing blue core of interlocking gears, wires, and crystalline orbs. Gold filaments spill downward like liquid circuitry. The effect is both clinical and sensual—an exposed heart that pulses with light. Another look places a bald, regal figure inside a cascade of ivory planes and golden lattices, the torso itself becoming a translucent map of energy. And the portrait: a face half-flesh, half-mechanism, one luminous blue eye gazing through a veil of gold and silver threads, the other replaced by a cool cyan lens. These are not costumes for a distant science-fiction film. They are propositions for the present—how beauty might look when technology and humanity finally stop competing and begin to collaborate.

D’Apuzzo’s studio on Passaggio San Pietro has long been a meeting point of disciplines. She lectures and exhibits extensively in Japan, designs for traditional Noh theater, explores AI and digital tools, and continues to paint in oil and watercolor series with titles drawn from Sanskrit and Japanese—Ātman, Wanderlust, Nichibotsu. The Collezioni line is simply the most intimate expression of that lifelong research: the moment when architecture steps off the page and onto the body.

In an era of fast fashion and algorithmic sameness, Ana D’Apuzzo Collezioni offers something rarer—a slow, deliberate, intellectual glamour. These pieces demand space, light, and attention. They reward the viewer who lingers. They remind us that clothing can still be philosophy, that a dress can still be a manifesto, and that the future of couture may not be found on the runway alone, but in the quiet studio where an architect, painter, and designer continues to ask the same essential question: What if the body itself became architecture?

The answer, glowing in white, gold, and electric blue, is already walking among us."

Perched on the edge of the night.

A new conceptual observatory by Studio Ana D’Apuzzo.
Minimal. Sculptural. Silent.

Architecture reduced to pure line, light, and void — an instrument for looking outward that remains deeply inward.

The vertical beam rises like a drawn gesture toward the crescent moon. Dark volumes hover on the cliff. The landscape becomes part of the composition.

A place of observation that is itself an act of contemplation.
