Carpi has the longest and largest record in the world for geomembranes installations in hydraulic structures, with geomembranes systems on 135+ large dams, 50+ canals and hydraulic tunnels, 30+ reservoirs. Carpi holds all world records for installation of geomembranes systems on high dams: Bovilla rockfill dam, 91 m, highest rockfill dam with a geomembranes as only waterproofing element, Miel I RC

C dam, 188 m, Alpe Gera concrete gravity dam, 174 m, Lost Creek arch dam, first underwater installation of a geomembrane system on a dam. Carpi geomembranes and geomembranes systems have been validated among others by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Hydro Québec, and ICOLD, the International Commission on Large Dams. Carpi has experience both as main contractor managing the entire project and as specialist sub-contractor. Carpi’s typical customers are owners and consulting engineers who require investigation and advice to correct leakage or infiltration problems. In 50 years of activity Carpi has completed projects worldwide, in environments ranging from mountainous regions and northern countries to equatorial, tropical and desert regions, from the Alps to the Equator.

It's been about a month, since we finished lining of Camporredondo dam - over 60m tall masonry dam in Spain. Our crew had to face some harsh weather conditions there, including floods that few times during installation drowned the lowest compartment area around the intake structure...
