La legge sul CO2 aumenterà i fondi per costruzioni ecologiche, a vantaggio della salute e dei portafogli di tutti.

Costruire in modo da consumare poco e pagare meno in bollette del gas o per il riscaldamento è già possibile e sarà ancora più facile e conveniente in futuro.

“L’energia basata sui combustibili fossili ci sembra a buon mercato, ma solo perché non stiamo considerando i costi che facciamo pagare ai nostri vicini di casa e al nostro futuro.”⁠

Questa frase di Rebecca Henderson, economista di Harvard, esprime perfettamente la preoccupazione che è alla base del nostro lavoro. Ancora oggi si costruiscono edifici riscaldati a olio o a gas, che causano problemi respiratori, circolatori e accelerano il cambiamento climatico. Se il costo dei danni alla salute e all'ambiente venisse integrato nel prezzo, queste energie costerebbero molto di più di quelle rinnovabili. Il problema è che attualmente il prezzo di mercato delle energie fossili non corrisponde al loro prezzo “reale”. I miliardi di differenza chi li paga? Tutti noi, principalmente sotto forma di premi della cassa malati. Bisogna ristabilire il principio del "chi inquina paga".⁠

In just 10 years, the price of electricity from solar fell by 89%, whereas that from onshore wind fell by 70%, ending well below the price of electricity from gas or coal.⁠

We have experienced this change first-hand: the photovoltaic and thermal systems installed in 2019 on the deltaROSSO building cost a fraction of those installed in 2008 on the deltaZERO building in Paradiso. ⁠
This data prove once more that renewables represent the best option for tomorrow... but also for today!⁠

deltaVERDE: 5000 square meters of ZERO-pollution and positive energy residential/commercial spaces in Chiasso, Switzerland! Discover deltaZERO's new step⁠!⁠ 🌱

Thanks to the experience gained with the construction of buildings deltaZERO in Paradiso and deltaROSSO in Vacallo, we are now ready for the next challenge.⁠
deltaVERDE, currently still a project, is a residential complex of 5000 square meters of living space located in Chiasso and consisting of over 60 spaces for residential or administrative use. And in this "or" resides one of its strengths: the complex will be able to vary from 100% commercial to 100% residential use, as required by the principle of maximum flexibility. deltaVERDE will be a positive energy complex, which means that it will produce more energy than it consumes through renewable sources, contributing to a healthier environment and fighting climate change. Thanks to the elevated location and large windows, the tenants will enjoy a wonderful view and bright interior spaces. In addition, located at the edge of the forest, just a stone's throw from a "percorso vita" (an open air fitness trail) and equipped with communal areas and the latest technology, deltaVERDE will guarantee a high level of comfort to everyone who lives or works there. As the icing on the cake, prices will be moderate, so that the complex is also accessible to students, singles or families without a high income.⁠

Climate change is making itself felt more and more and at our latitudes this translates into hotter and heavier summers 🌡 The highest floors of a building are particularly affected by overheating and we at deltaZERO are working hard to promote the adaptability of our buildings (principle of maximum flexibility)!⁠ 🌇

In our headquarters in Paradiso we have just finished installing a new cooling system which, thanks to an innovative aluminium radiant surface, is able to cool (but also heat) with a thermal efficiency 3 times higher than a traditional system, allowing us to offer our customers superior comfort even during summer heat waves. The system, which is powered by an air-to-air thermo-pump, can be easily dismantled and, thanks to the aluminium coating instead of plasterboard, is also much thinner than normal.⁠

The award ceremony for the 30th Swiss Solar Prize was held in Aarau a few days ago. As members of the jury, we particularly appreciated two projects:

1. The renovation of the Weyerguet farm in Wabern (BE), which covers 75% of the complex's energy requirements with its clean, linear, fully photovoltaic roof.
2. Migros' new positive-energy supermarket in Heiden (AR), an elegant black crystal glass roof on a reinforced concrete base, which produces more energy than it consumes.

The numerous projects presented demonstrate the great ferment and interesting possibilities in the field of solar technologies applied to buildings: we hope that these technologies, given the rapid payback period, can quickly become the standard in the construction industry.

A rainy day is no good for a building partially covered with solar panels. However, the geothermal and the air-to-air plants are still able to warm up the apartments without burning anything and polluting the air we breathe. Moreover, the energy gathered in the past days can still be used to charge your electric car.

A 3D representation of our project for the heavy-duty vehicle control centre (CCVP) in Giornico, an installation worth CHF 250 million that will increase the security of the A2 highway 🚛🚚 The foundation stone was layed 10 days ago.⁠

The project is based on an innovative, flexible heavy traffic control system that we developed to increase safety on Switzerland's main south-north axis. The centre will be built by the end of 2022.⁠
