EVERY CLUE MATTERS.
A fall. A night in the mountains. And a search that depended on finding the right clues.
A 21-year-old hiker fell around 20 metres in the Dachstein area and was seriously injured. Unable to make his way down, he spent the night in the mountains with his Labrador by his side.
During the search, an orange tent spotted from the air helped narrow down the search area. Later, rescuers heard the dog's barking - a sound that ultimately helped them locate the injured hiker.
A powerful reminder that finding someone in difficult terrain is not always straightforward. Sometimes, it takes several clues to piece together the picture.
At AirMarker, we believe visibility deserves a place in outdoor safety planning. Because calling for help is one thing. Making yourself easier to find is another.
The AirMarker adds another layer of visibility when assistance is needed. It doesn't replace an emergency call or professional rescue - but it offers another way to make your position visible.
Rescue starts with visibility.
