The sails are ready.
The weather routing is done.
The crew is prepared.
But is your grab bag ready?
Before the start of the Round Ireland Race, every piece of safety equipment deserves a final check.
AirMarker adds a persistent visual signal to your offshore safety setup — working alongside AIS, EPIRB and flares.

This weekend, crews will set off on the Round Ireland Yacht Race 2026.

704 nautical miles.
Day and night.
Changing weather.
Cold water.
Open sea.

The race organisers require AIS equipment on board for a reason.

Electronic positioning helps rescuers identify where to search.

🆘 But once a search unit arrives in the area, visual identification becomes the next challenge.

That's where AirMarker adds another layer of safety.

Not instead of AIS.
Not instead of flares.

Alongside them.

🛟 Because offshore safety is never about one solution.
It's about building layers that work together when every minute counts.

Before the first stroke of the oar, everything is already defined.
Nordic Endeavour 2026 is built on months of preparation:
• operational planning
• scientific protocols
• environmental coordination
• communication systems
• maritime safety layers
• and team training under real conditions
Because a 3,000 km expedition is not managed at sea.
It is engineered long before departure.
We are proud that AirMarker is part of the safety setup supporting this approach to preparedness.
In complex environments, preparation is not optional.
It is the foundation of everything that follows.

🆘 A moment captured during a field scenario.

A visibility system emerging from a terrain feature just off a marked hiking path — right where traditional orientation ends and complexity begins.

🗺️ While classic trail markers define direction, real-world environments often introduce blind spots, elevation changes and hidden zones.

This is where active visibility systems become relevant.

Not to replace existing rescue systems, but to extend them.

This perspective is part of how we at AirMarker think about future applications: beyond outdoor recreation, into broader scenarios where visibility and orientation matter.

Some expeditions are about distance.
Nordic Endeavour 2026 is about purpose.
Approx. mid July, the team will start rowing nearly 3,000 km along Norway’s coastline — from the far north to Oslo.
But this is not a race.
It is an expedition designed to combine exploration with responsibility:
🌊 ocean science
🐟 marine clean-up operations
📡 environmental data collection
🤝 engagement with coastal communities
🛟 and maritime safety awareness
Along the way, the team will operate in some of Europe’s most dynamic and challenging maritime environments.
We are proud that AirMarker is part of their safety equipment — supporting visibility and preparedness throughout the journey.
Because when you operate in remote environments, preparation matters as much as endurance.
And the people behind the mission matter just as much as the mission itself.

🚨 AirMarker launches in Ireland 🇮🇪
Proud moment for AirMarker – our Swiss-designed marine safety system has officially launched in Ireland at Dún Laoghaire Harbour.
The debut took place during the inauguration of the expedition yacht Spirit of Shackleton – a floating classroom dedicated to ocean science, exploration and youth leadership.
⚓️ Now part of onboard safety
AirMarker is now integrated as part of the yacht’s safety equipment for offshore operations and the upcoming Round Ireland Race.
🌊 What it does
In an emergency, AirMarker deploys a bright orange helium balloon above the sea surface – creating an immediate, highly visible distress signal.
💡 No pyrotechnics.
🔋 No batteries.
📡 No connectivity required.
An integrated LED beacon can remain visible for up to 72 hours.
🧭 Already trusted by alpine rescue teams, offshore sailors and professionals across Europe – now available in Ireland through Viking Marine, Dún Laoghaire.
💬 “In a man overboard situation, seconds matter. That orange balloon is unmissable.” – Bobby Beggs, skipper

Night operations during our Safety Academy 2025 exercise.
A simple signal source — a luminous balloon — becomes something much more in low-visibility environments: a reference point, an orientation aid, and a tool for coordination.
Scenarios like this are exactly where visibility systems are tested under realistic conditions.
Not in theory. In the field.
What looks minimal in daylight can become critical in darkness.

AIRMARKER WORLD 02/08 — Natural Disaster
When disaster strikes, visibility becomes more than a convenience.
Flooded areas, destroyed infrastructure and large operational zones create one critical challenge: finding, identifying and coordinating people and locations quickly.
We often think of rescue technology in outdoor environments.
But what if we think bigger?
Where do you see potential applications for visibility and signaling systems in disaster scenarios?

🌙 Night field test in real SAR conditions
Systems from AirMarker were tested in cooperation with an operational national partner during a demanding night exercise in alpine terrain.
Marking systems including possible new products and R.ONE demonstrated strong visibility and reliable target identification under real-world conditions.
Built for one mission: making the invisible visible.
🚁 Field tested. Operational feedback. Real conditions.
