Why Exploring Mining in the Balkans is Not a Waste of Time

Three Keys Capital Advisors, a strategic partner of Balkan Frontier, acted as a financial advisor to Vecchiola Group, a premier Chilean mining services and construction company, on the sale of S.C. Minera Tres Valles (“MTV”) to Sprott Resource Holdings Inc. (TSX: SRHI) (“SRHI”), a publicly-listed holding corporation focused on the natural resource industry. MTV is a producing copper mining and refining complex located in Salamanca, Chile.

SRHI has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 70% of MTV stock for a total consideration of US$40 million in combination of cash and SRHI stock, implying $57 million equity value for 100% of MTV and transaction value of $64 million including assumption of $7 million in debt.

The transaction showcases the capabilities of Three Keys’ metals and mining M&A franchise, including:

· Ex*****on of a complex cross-border deal;
· Preparing for and running a sale process on an accelerated timeline;
· Accessing a broad and global universe of sector-specialist buyers;
· Marketing and positioning of MTV with the benefit of sector-specific expertise.
