ARCHITEKTURA SEMINAR WEEK 📣

This seminar week is conceived as a journey through a territory in which theatre, scenography, visual art, architecture, and urban space intersect.

Its point of departure is Düsseldorf, situated within the larger context of the Rhineland and the Ruhr Region. Historically shaped by trade, industry, and cultural institutions, the city offers a particularly rich setting for exploring how spaces are staged, perceived, and transformed. Industry is therefore not the central theme in itself, but rather the historical and spatial foundation from which a broader cultural landscape has emerged.

HIL LIVING LAB - STUDENT WORK SECOND YEAR

Ready-Unmade: HIL
Around 100 second-year architecture students from the Chair of Débora Mesa Molina explore the HIL building as a material resource – a “mine” of architectural elements – and develop ideas for its future. Their work provides valuable input for Living Lab HIL.

700 Perspectives of the HIL Building – An exhibition featuring 700 student drawings in coorperation with Living Lab HIL

The Living Lab HIL at ETH Zürich bridges the gap between theory and practice by turning the renovation and expansion of the HIL building into a pilot project for sustainable transformation.
