SOCIAL CIRCLE at Vienna Design Week 🔴
This autumn, we joined Vienna Design Week (Sept 26–Oct 5, 2025), one of Europe’s longstanding design festivals. It drew diverse perspectives, and the discussions we had there still echo.

We presented SOCIAL CIRCLE—a suspended rotunda built from 400 panels. Stepping inside surrounded visitors with our architectural projects, like a living archive. It highlighted those moments when design connects people, from initial models to lived-in spaces.

Panels were organized by dopamine colors, creating a spectrum that guided movement through the circle. Drawing from KonMari principles, it turned our work into a unified landscape, showing how color influences mood, rhythm, and atmosphere. Visitors shared how it evoked energy, optimism, and clarity in architecture.

The installation became a spot for pause, reflection, and conversation—on cities, communities, and shared environments. We connected with curious attendees exploring how architecture fosters human bonds, creativity, and well-being. Those rotunda talks left a mark.

Thanks to Vienna Design Week for the invite and warm welcome. We left with fresh ideas, new connections, and a stronger sense of design’s role in uniting people.

📣We have been longlisted for Archello Awards 2025!

🏆Designed by CLOU Architects, the Wuhan Snow World has been selected for the Archello Awards 2025 Longlist in the Sports and Leisure Building of the Year category!

❄️Located in Huangpi District, Wuhan, adjacent to Mulan Ancient Town, the project is a vast mixed-use entertainment complex encircling a central lake, integrating leisure, sports, and retail facilities. The 500-metre-long ski slope and expansive public terraces interact with a pixel-inspired façade, together creating a multi-dimensional, all-season mountain resort experience.

📣Hangzhou Liangzhu West Coast Kindergarten by CLOU Architects has been shortlisted in the "Education Project" category of the Dezeen Awards China 2025!

West Coast Kindergarten is a design tailored for its site, aiming to ignite children's curiosity through outdoor spaces that extend from indoors. CLOU hopes that in such a simple, unadorned environment, every child's nature and creativity can be unleashed.

We’ve always had a soft spot for natural textures.🪵

🪵 Technically not a colour, but we felt that Wood tones deserved it's unique spotlight. We use wood to highlight and soften spaces, to create contrast between bold, colourful and cool spaces.

🪵 Changing with light and touch, wood evolves over time. Its tones shift, its surfaces age gracefully, reminding us that architecture can be both enduring and adaptable.

🍪 Is Brown really just a neutral tone?
