World's Largest Single-Line Capacity PET Project by Chemtex

Chemtex Global Corporation is pleased to announce the successful start-up of world's largest PET plant for Jiangyin Chengold Packaging Material Co. Ltd. in Jiangsu Province, China. The Plant consists of two mega scale PET production lines, each with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year. Chemtex as the prime contractor for the project provided INVISTA technology for Continuous Polymerization, Polymetrix SSP technology as well as complete project services. The plant has been proven to produce highest quality material with all product properties that exceed the client and market expectations. This plant with the largest single line PET capacity, the demonstrated product superiority, highly attractive CAPEX / OPEX set a new benchmark for Chemtex and Chengold in the PET industry and adds another showcase project to the large list of PET plants provided by Chemtex worldwide.
Over the past 50 years, Chemtex has provided about 20 million tons per year of Polyester polymer capacity globally, of which about 8 million tons is for PET resin and 12 million tons is for textile grade polymer applications. Chemtex continues to supply Polyester plants to major companies around the world including Indorama Group, Reliance Industries, Far Eastern Group, Jiangyin Sanfangxing Group, Xin Fengming Group and Tongkun Group.
