A selection of details from one of our most recent projects: the interior design of a former convent, now transformed into a refined luxury hotel in the heart of the Abruzzo countryside.

The project involved the bespoke design and creation of furniture, decorative pieces, curtains, rugs and lighting, with a constant focus on achieving a harmonious balance between the heritage of the building and a contemporary sensibility.

Many of the original elements were carefully restored, reinterpreted and enhanced through a thoughtful restyling process, giving them a new identity while preserving their authentic charm.

The upholstery was also custom-designed and crafted using fine English fabrics, selected and ordered exclusively for this project.

A story of understated elegance, craftsmanship and respect for history.

The main goal of the project was to strip the spaces back from all the layers added over the years — floors, wall coverings, and various additions — to rediscover the simplicity and authenticity of the original rooms.

For the flooring, we chose a light natural-finish terracotta, while the walls were finished with a raw plaster and light tones for the ceilings.
The doors were decorated by taking inspiration from the original colors, uncovered through careful paint sampling.

In the bathrooms, we kept the same clean aesthetic but with a more contemporary touch: red accents for the shower niches or cabinets, paired with reclaimed materials such as the iconic “Plasmon” tiles and blue ceramics used inside the shower.
