WE'VE MOVED AN OFF-GRID CONTAINER HOME TO PAVONES
We cut a 40ft high-cube refrigerated shipping container into two 20ft pieces to comply with our client's L-shaped design. The two finished pieces were placed on a trailer (first photo) and brought from our workshop in San Ramón to her property in Pavones in the southern area of Costa Rica. Where the road was steep, we used a backhoe to help push the truck and trailer (second photo) carrying the pieces to the site. Once there, the two pieces were joined and placed on their foundation (third and fourth photos). Next comes the welding, the installation of the solar electricity and water catchment systems, the septic tank, and the satellite TV. Finally, the exterior siding will be added.
