Following the introduction of negative prices and a successful ADEX Week, May once again demonstrated the growing maturity and liquidity of the market.

What an incredible turnout last week! 🚀

The workshop brought together a remarkable number of market participants and industry experts, a powerful sign of the growing relevance of these discussions for the regional energy community.

During the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to explore a wide range of current and highly relevant topics - from the ongoing development of the ADEX Group and its key milestones, to collateral-related topics, as well as some of the most pressing issues currently shaping regional electricity markets, including CBAM and market coupling.

What made the discussions particularly valuable was the opportunity to hear how the current market situation is viewed from different perspectives. Each panelist brought a unique viewpoint, making the discussions both dynamic and highly relevant to the future of electricity markets.

Negative prices are now part of trading reality on SEEPEX, introduced on 6 May this year, further aligning the regional power market with European standards and enhancing price transparency and flexibility.

➡️ The first negative price ever recorded appeared on the Day-Ahead market on 𝟭𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝘆 (𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟰:𝟬𝟬-𝟭𝟱:𝟬𝟬)reaching -𝟬.𝟬𝟭 𝗘𝗨𝗥/𝗠𝗪𝗵 with 𝟲𝟳𝟯.𝟰 𝗠𝗪𝗵 traded.

➡️ The trend continued on the Intraday Continuous market on 𝟮𝟰 𝗠𝗮𝘆 (𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝟭𝟱:𝟬𝟬-𝟭𝟲:𝟬𝟬), where multiple trades cleared at negative prices, totaling 𝟲𝟬 𝗠𝗪𝗵 with a volume-weighted average price of -𝟴.𝟴𝟯 𝗘𝗨𝗥/𝗠𝗪𝗵.
