Customer Announcement

It has been reported to us that double charges have occured when using the outdoor (out of hours )pay terminal at our garage.
After investigation we can report the following.

It seems to happen with mostly one UK bank ( Monzo ) which tend to hold the second amount for at least 5 working days - and then return into customers bank account

In all cases our records show that only one payment is processed.

If you require evidence of this to show your bank please do not hesitate to ask

We would like to inform our customers that the Esso Shop will be closed for the bank holiday on Monday the 28th of October
Fuel will be available using the paymachine on the forecourt.

Hi just to inform our customers that when using the pay machine on the forecourt SOME UK banks have got the bad habit to hold an amount for example 20 euros and then charge the actual amount 20 euros, therefore giving the impression that the machine has charged twice which is not the case. The held amount should be refunded immediately but because we are away from the UK this takes around 5 working days.
This is totally outside the control of the Garage owners and ESSO and is totally a bank issue.
We will be happy to verify to the bank that only one payment was made if required just ask to speak to Demetris at the Garage.
Normal hours will resume on Monday the 26th of August and we will be happy to help anyone that has had the above problem.
