Back in the UK, finally making business time to set the new palette using camel paints.

First pint they smell chemicals, none of the other brands I use in the UK smell and this one reels strong smell when it's squeezed out.

I haven't used it yet but did manage to set up the palette and have few papers to test and will do a video

Western world might think it is crazy to ride a family of 4 ( sometimes up to 6 ) on a scooter. No one even notices here as it's part of life.

Driving a car is slower and good luck finding a place to park. Most of the kids by ten years would learn and will be riding bikes ands scooter. They avoid roads where police might be.

Boys love India as it's like a circus, you don't know what you will find around a corner.

It's cooler as we had some shower and we are zipping around to grab a. Bite and meet others.

I am constantly reminding the kids the privileged life they have and have the perspective of what tough life can be.

We meet many who work over 60 hrs per week on less than £100 per month and also people in tech who earn more compared to UK salaries. The ecominc inequality is getting wider everytime I come.

No wonder other pick STEM jobs over arts.

Of many things I miss Bangalore is filter coffee, strong and sugary.

It's done in seconds and none of the drama. At this restaurant a small cup costs 25 rupees and it will wake you up.

It's mango season and kids have tried over 5 types of mangoes and we intend to taste 10 types before we leave

As a rule we look for new fruits in any new country and so far the boys ate at least half dozen new fruits this time( should have taken more photos)

With the traffic it's tricky to do any plien air and haven't done any painting yet. I have plans to meet Bangalore urban sketchers this Saturday and talk to other artists.

I am curious to hear what it takes to make a living as a trust in India , for certain it's easier to grow as an artist in Cambridge than in Bangalore.

Was checking out a popular art store right in the art college in Bangalore.

All materials are way cheaper than buying in the UK, I will give them a try and if the quality holds will place a bigger order.

What I did not show in the video is I have some watercolour paper samples to test.

I forgot to take a photo of the art store, I might go back to talk to the owner and give you a sense of how the artist purchased it in Bangalore.

8 weeks of YouTube content: officially recorded and dusted!

My secret? Batching. I lock in 2–3 days a month to record all my Reels and short-form videos so I can actually stay sane.

But the truth is, what you see here is just the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, I’m deep-diving into my new eCourse, managing a pipeline of 3–4 podcast episodes, and dealing with the endless to-do list of a self-employed artist.

Massive respect to every YouTuber and podcaster out there. The hustle is real, the logistics are heavy, and if you don’t absolutely love the process, you won’t survive it.

👇 To my fellow creators: What’s your biggest time-saver when the workload stacks up?

When I paint I usually streamline painting and make all things non painting related as efficiently as possible exactly like an assembly line.

The secret to my learning is to pick one topic. ( This case is greens and reflections as it's summer) And I paint more than 5 at least. Any error can be corrected in the next painting and things which went well can be improved as well.

My learning has skyrocketed once I applied this method and I regret not doing this in my early years.

I suggest all who I meet to try this method.

All these videos will come as weekly art tutorials , head over to see my other 100s of tutorials on YouTube

Sunday morning update: The kids have been officially kicked out of the room so I can finally finish this cityscape e-course video.

I’ve been teasing this in my newsletter for four months now, and honestly? The timeline in my head vs. reality has been a total wake-up call. I completely underestimated the sheer amount of work this takes. To make life extra spicy, I’ve been building two courses at once—one for my site and a collab with another company (details soon!).

They’re both 90% done, but man, that last 10% feels like trekking through mud.

The last four months have just vanished. Between the podcast, market stalls, new art, parenting through the holidays, and trying to stay on top of life/bills/exercise… I’m behind on posting everything. I think I need a clone. Or a very long nap.

Hope your Sunday is a bit more relaxed than mine!
