Unser wegweisendes Siegel flustix RECYCLABLE DIN plus bietet die erste unabhängig laborbasierte Kennzeichnung von Recyclingfähigkeit in Deutschland. Mit diesem Siegel lässt sich die Wiederverwertbarkeit von Verpackungen glaubwürdig und sicher nachweisen – für Hersteller und für Konsumierende am Point of Sale.

In einer aktuellen Erhebung der YouGov wurden Verbraucher*innen in Deutschland, Frankreich, Italien, Spanien, Großbritannien und den USA zu den Themen Einwegplastik und Plastikmüll-Verringerung befragt. Dabei stufte eine Mehrheit die Nutzung von nicht wiederverwendbarem Kunststoff als umweltschädlich und länderübergreifend zu hoch ein.

Die Reduzierung des eigenen Gebrauchs wird neben verstärktem Recycling auch durch nachvollziehbare Produktkennzeichnung begünstigt. Mit unseren flustix-Siegeln ermöglichen wir es Konsumierenden, eine bewusste und schnelle Kaufentscheidung für weniger Einwegplastik am Point of Sale zu treffen.

EN➡️ In a recent survey by YouGov, consumers in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK and the USA were asked about single-use plastics and plastic waste reduction. A majority of respondents rated the use of non-reusable plastic as harmful to the environment and too high across countries.

Anfang der Woche verabschiedete die EU-Kommission neue Maßnahmen im Rahmen der europäischen Chemikalien-Verordnung (REACH), um die Verwendung von Mikroplastik, das Produkten bewusst zugesetzt wird, einzuschränken. Damit soll künftig die Freisetzung von annähernd einer halben Million Tonnen Mikroplastik in die Umwelt verhindert werden. Erste Verkaufsverbote (u. a. für Glitter in Kosmetika) treten bereits Mitte Oktober in Kraft, Beschränkungen für weitere Produktgruppen folgen in den nächsten Jahren. Bestimmte Branchen (z. B. dekorative Kosmetik) haben bis zu 12 Jahre Zeit zur Entwicklung und Umstellung auf Alternativen.

EN➡️ Earlier this week, the European Commission adopted new measures under the EU chemical legislation REACH to limit the use of microplastics that are intentionally added to products. The aim is to prevent the release of nearly half a million tons of microplastics into the environment. Initial sales bans (for glitter in cosmetics, among other things) will take effect as early as mid-October, with restrictions for other product groups to follow in the next few years. Certain sectors (e. g. decorative cosmetics) will be given up to 12 years to develop and switch to alternatives.

Wir stellen vor: Das französiche Unternehmen Lactips. Die patentierte Technologie unseres Lizenznehmers, bei der natürliche Proteine aus der Milcherzeugung (Kaseine) als Rohstoff verwendet werden, spezialisiert sich auf die Herstellung eines plastikfreien, wasserlöslichen und vollständig abbaubaren Biomaterials. Das flustix-zertifzierte CareTips® kann in großen Mengen hergestellt werden, ist bedruck- und essbar und bietet aufgrund seiner starken Barriereeigenschaften eine Vielzahl industrieller Anwendungsmöglichkeiten, z.B. bei künftigen Verpackungen aus Papier und Pappe.
Seit Anfang 2022 wird Lactips unter dem European Innovation Council (EIC) finanziell gefördert, um neue, nachhaltige Lebensmittelverpackungen aus Papier zu entwickeln.

Im Zuge des von der EU mit knapp 2,4 Mio. Euro geförderten Projekts ECOLACTIPACK haben Forschende unseres Lizenznehmers Lactips eine revolutionäre Verpackungslösung für Lebensmittel entwickelt.
Plastic Free Paper™ entstand auf Grundlage des biobasierten und von flustix als plastikfrei zertifizierten Materials CareTips® und ist „die erste vollständig rezyklierbare und kompostierbare Papierverpackungslösung ohne Kunststoff oder umstrittene Stoffe“, wie aus der Veröffentlichungsplattform der EU-Kommission hervorgeht. Darüber hinaus bietet es eine wirksame Barriere gegen Fett, Sauerstoff, Aromen und Mineralöle.

As part of the ECOLACTIPACK project, funded by the EU with nearly 2.4 million euros, researchers from our licensee Lactips have developed a revolutionary food packaging solution.
Plastic Free Paper™ was created based on CareTips®, a bio-based material certified by flustix as plastic-free, and constitutes "the first fully recyclable and compostable paper packaging solution without plastic or controversial substances", according to the EU Commission's publication platform. In addition, it provides an effective barrier against grease, oxygen, flavors and mineral oils.

Bei unserem zuletzt vorgestellten Siegel flustix RECYCLED wird über ein Kürzel der jeweilige Rezyklat-Typ deklariert. Dieser weist transparent den Ursprung des Materials aus, welches als Abfall angefallen ist und als Rezyklat aufbereitet ein zweites Leben erhält.
Unterschieden wird dabei zwischen Rezyklaten aus Post-Consumer-Abfällen, Post-Industrial-Abfällen und einer Mischung dieser.

Kreislaufwirtschaft verhindert nicht nur unnötigen Plastikmüll, sie spart auch beträchtliche Mengen an Treibhausgasen ein und ist somit ein wesentlicher Faktor zum Erreichen der Klimaziele.

EN➡️ On our previously presented trustmark flustix RECYCLED the respective recyclate type is declared using an abbreviation. It transparently indicates the original source of the material used, which has accumulated as waste and is given a second life by being processed into recyclate.
A distinction is made between recyclates from post-consumer waste, post-industrial waste and a mixture of the two.

Circular economy not only prevents unnecessary plastic waste, it also saves considerable amounts of production-related greenhouse gases and thus is an essential factor in achieving the global climate goals.

In einer jüngst veröffentlichten Studie wiesen Forschende in 23 Ländern eine unerwartet hohe Kunststoffbelastung bei stehenden Süßwassergewässern nach. In einigen Seen war die Konzentration von Plastik und Mikroplastik sogar höher als im "Pazifischen Müllstrudel".
Die Ergebnisse der Studie zeigen deutlich, wie wichtig die Einbeziehung von Süßwassergewässern bei der Bekämpfung der Plastikverschmutzung ist, um den Erhalt wichtiger Ökosysteme und Trinkwasserquellen nachhaltig zu gewährleisten.
