Lavia Lin Lavia is a Berlin-based painting & performance artist from Shanghai,China. Abstract musical paintings She studied art and philosophy at Bard College Berlin.

Lavia, born in 1995, came to Berlin in 2014 to pursue her studies in art. She is attracted by the city and its vibrant art scene featuring international artists. She started painting at 7 years old, as a child, she has shown sensitivity in colours and for her, colours have become a way of expressing herself. She sees colours in relation to emotions and melodies.
“I have always enjoyed the moment

when my brushes touch the canvas, when colours are flowing from the strokes of my hand. I never know what the painting will be like but I listen to my heart and let the colours flow across the canvas. It is the moment when I hear the melody in the colours and I move my brushes along with the rhythm.”

the finch app Finch told me to make a gratitude album — and I realized I’d already started one 🐦

this year especially has marked many new beginnings. beautiful encounters led to beautiful collaborations — from artist to curator, from small events to big festivals. with each project, I grow.

it’s also a beautiful reminder to all the artists wearing many hats: the steps we take to create, to connect, and to share what we do — they matter. they add up.🫶

and quietly, somewhere in between all of it, 2000 of you found your way here. it’s a small number in the big picture, but for a freelance artist and facilitator, it’s something to hold with real warmth. 🌸

thank you for being here. for the shared cups of tea, the meaningful conversations, and the traces of color 🩵

Dance in Colors 🍀🎨💃🏻🕺
in Treptower Park

Last weekend, we celebrated nature together through Biodanza and intuitive painting.
We built a mandala inspired by our surroundings, to take what nature has generously given us — not for granted, but with gratitude and appreciation.✨

We danced the elements of nature. Feeling our feet on the ground, barefoot, we grounded ourselves with the earth beneath us. We danced with our whole bodies to feel the inner fire within us 🔥. We connected with our inner child and the spirit of creativity floating in the air💨. We painted on paper, on our bodies, and on each other — giving a part of ourselves, our inner colors and lights. We felt the fluidity of water flowing within us, letting it guide our movements, our colors, and our presence in nature 🌊.

Through our collective creativity, we took the colors of nature and the colors within us, leaving traces of ourselves on the big paper. 🫶

Thank you to everyone for your openness, curiosity, and open hearts to dance in nature with us, and for sharing our journey together. 🌿🌸

Hope to see you next time!

❓How do you associate with nature? How does being in nature make you feel?

Finissage. A Soft Passage
July.8th, 7-9pm
Wednesday evening · Siciliamo

Join us for the finissage of “A Soft Passage” — one last chance to be with the works before they leave the walls of the beautiful Siciliamo.

The exhibition has been a quiet journey through abstraction, dream, sound and image, memory and presence — and we couldn’t think of a more fitting way to close it than an evening of jazz, wine, and Sicilian food in good company.🎶🍷

Amanda Mae (vocals) Amanda Mae Becker and Gur Liraz (guitar) Gur Liraz will be playing a selection of jazz standards — some of which inspired the very works on these walls. Amanda is a Berlin-based vocalist with a master’s in classical singing from UdK Berlin and a deep love for the timeless standards of the American Songbook. Gur, originally from Tel Aviv, has been a beloved figure in Berlin’s jazz scene since 2013, known for his sensitive, lyrical playing.

Together they bring a warmth and intimacy perfectly suited to the spirit of the evening. 🎵
Come see the works one last time. Sip some wine. Savour some Sicilian food. And simply be present — in the moment, in the beauty of passing time. 🌸

Close Your Eyes and See 🎨🎵
A little opening with tea 🍵
· Sunday, June 7th · 2–4pm.
My mini exhibition is now up at as part of the , curated by .korpela — and I wanted to share a little more about what’s inside.

Each painting in this selection begins with sound. A melody heard late at night, a song that wouldn’t leave, a moment recorded in the forest at dawn — bird songs, rainfall, the quiet sounds of nature that we so easily pass without noticing. Through color, line, and texture, I translate these sounds into visual form — not as illustrations, but as emotional echoes, traces of feeling left on canvas.
The works span a few years and many musical encounters — from Keith Jarrett and Tom Waits to Erroll Garner and the Modern Jazz Quartet. Each one asked me to listen differently. I hope they invite you to do the same.
What do you hear when you look? And what do you see when you listen — listen closely? 🌿

☀️ Come say hello on June 7th!
I’ll be there brewing some of my favourite teas in Gongfu Cha style — just art, tea, and good conversation. Sign up via the link in bio on Luma, or simply DM me so I know you’re coming. 🍵
