After a test phase at four pilot locations earlier this summer, 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗹-𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗸𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗲’𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 on August 1, 2025 — including intensive onboarding and training for key users.

Big news from one of our Scale-up.NRW Batch 2 teams: has 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮 $𝟭𝟯.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔-𝟮 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 to push the boundaries of high-precision chip cutting!

By 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, LIDROTEC is solving one of the biggest challenges in chip production: 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮-𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. This opens the door for faster, cleaner and more efficient semiconductor manufacturing – from compound materials to next-gen nodes.

The round was co-led by Lam Capital (Lam Research’s venture arm) and Goose Capital, with new strategic partners ZEISS Ventures and NRW.BANK on board. Existing investors, including Gründerfonds Ruhr, showed strong conviction by significantly increasing their stake.

With this funding, LIDROTEC will:

💡 Grow its team and capabilities
🚀 Deliver its liquid-mediated laser dicing solutions to both compound and cutting-edge semiconductor markets

Last week Anna Keup and Christopher Smolka visited one of our Batch #4 teams – eeden – for an 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲. Together with mentor Stefan Bahnmüller, they held a strategic workshop.

The round was led once again by FORWARD.one, joined by existing investors Interzero, PT1, Helen Ventures, daphni, and Aurum Impact (Goldbeck Family Office). New supporters FIEGE Ventures and Newberry Investments also came on board.

With this funding, Voltfang will:
